Strategies and actions for a sustainable food chain growth

Wednesday, 6 July 2016, 8:30-12:30

Venue: Department of Food Sciences and Technology, Seminar room 2/28, A-1190 Vienna, Austria, Muthgasse 18

The workshop is organized by the ISEKI-Food Association (IFA) as pre-conference workshop to the 4th International ISEKI_Food Conference. The workshop is dedicated to bring together PhD students and industry and will be chaired by research and industry representatives.

The aim of this workshop is to give a special attention to the most relevant research that is carried out within the PhD programmes dealing with strategies and actions that may have a potential impact on the improvement of food products quality and safety and the development of a sustainable food production.

The workshop will involve a number of invited presentations given by experts and industry representatives as well as oral and poster presentations given by PhD students. A Round Table for a wide discussion on the topic will conclude the event.

All interested PhD students are thus invited to submit the abstract of their research activity according to the instructions for abstract submission.

We are expecting to receive contributions from PhD students on research activities and projects that are aimed to contribute to develop a sustainable food chain at all levels and in all related sectors.

Rewarding criteria for selection as oral presentation will be the potential exploitation of the research and the real applications in the food chain (at all levels) and the relevance of the study to the society.

Abstracts will be subjected to peer-reviewing and the accepted ones will be included in the book of abstracts of the 4th ISEKI_Food conference (with ISBN number). Selected abstracts will be also invited to submit full papers for publication in the Special Issues of the Journal of Food Engineering and International Journal of Food Studies.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

  • Prepare the abstract according to the instructions for abstract submission. Selection of the abstracts will be carried out by 31st March 2016.
