The Strategic Network Bioeconomy (BECY) co-ordinated by the University of Hohenheim, is a strategic network of five leading universities in the emerging research field of bioeconomy and related disciplines. Members of the network are University of São Paulo (USP), São Paulo State University (UNESP, both Brazil), Metropolitan Autonomous University (UAM, Mexico), University of Guelph (UoG, Canada) and the University of Hohenheim. The aim is to set up a sustainable cooperation in mutual and complementing areas of bioeconomy in order to strengthen excellence in the quality of research and teaching. BECY is supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) with funds provided by the German Federal Ministry of Research and Education (BMBF).
Information concerning the workshop:
The workshop addresses junior (PhD) and senior researchers, e.g. PhD students in tandem with his/her supervising professor. It starts with several impulse speeches covering different aspects of the bioeconomy and will then be continued in a world café format where the participants discuss related topics. The aim of the workshop is scientific exchange between junior and senior researchers and the exploration of future cooperation possibilities in research and teaching.
Maximum number of participants: 18 (first come first serve basis). Free access but online registration is mandatory.
