How to reach Milan Print E-mail
Milan is easily reached by plane, train and car.

The main building of the University of Milan can be found in the city centre, in via Festa del Perdono 7.

Buses (54, 60, 73, 84, 94) trams (12, 14, 15, 16, 23, 24, 27) and the underground (Duomo station - line 1/red color ;  Missori station - line 3/yellow color) all stop nearby.

The three sets of directions described below are intended for those arriving in Milano via the airport or by train.
From the Airport:

Linate Airport
is about 10 km from Milan city centre. At the arrival terminal, there is bus n° 73 to the city centre and get off at Piazza San Babila (close to the underground station - line 1/red line), a few minutes walk from the Università degli Studi di Milano. The ticket costs 1.00 € and can be bought inside the airport terminal or in the bus.

Malpensa
Airport is about 50 km from Milan city centre. At the arrival terminal, there are the following options for bus and train:
  1. Bus - Airpullman (www.airpullman.it) or Malpensa Bus Express (www.autostrade.it).  Leaving every 20 minuts from 5.20 to 22.30. It connects the airport (Terminal 1 and 2) with the train station (stazione centrale). Running time about 60 min. Ticket costs is 7,50 €  and can be bought inside the airport terminal or in the bus.
  2. Train - Malpensa Express (www.malpensaexpress.it). It connects the Malpensa Airport (Terminal 1) to the Cadorna Ferrovie Nord and to Train Central station in Milan. Running time about 50 min. Ticket costs is 11,00 € and must be bought inside the airport terminal.
Orio al Serio Airport is about 45 km from the Milan city centre. At the arrival terminal there is Autostradale Bus service (www.autostrade.it). Running time is about 60 min. The ticket costs € 9,90 and can be bought inside the airport terminal or in the bus.
From the Station (stazione centrale):

The Central Station (Stazione Centrale), Milan's main railway station, is located at the hub of the transport network. This is also where two of the main underground lines intersect (line 2/green line; line 3/yellow line).
